Discussion: How to grow membership and also attract members to the board. Martin offered an idea to set up an annual social event for members at Zwicker Wharf or Old Fish or Bluenose room. This event could also double up as a membership drive.

Kandace will reach out to members to join website and get some key speakers to attend and invite past members

Conclusion:  We will decide next meeting when and where this will be held

Agenda Item: CEBA loan                                                                                      Presenter: Kandace Forward

Discussion: Due date end of December 2023. If we pay by this due date only $40,000 is due.

Most of CEBA money was used to renovate bathrooms

Conclusion: Pay it back but not until the due date

Our evacuation policy for campers is to go to Arena or lower campground.

Safety of employees is #1. If they are told to stay home do they still get paid?

Conclusion: It was decided employees do not get paid if told not to come in

Agenda Item: Accessibility Nova Scotia.                     Presenter: Kandace Forward

Discussion: Accessibility Nova Scotia has sent out a document and is looking for feedback. It is impossible to do on Main Street. Wondering if there will be grants available to businesses.

Conclusion: Sam will post it on social media so that everyone is aware and the impact

Everything is up and live, we still need to confirm a few Craft Beer venders.

Agenda Item: Signing Authority/ Meeting Reps                        Presenter: Kandace Forward

Martin and Sam need to have signing authority. Kandace needs to change credit card info because previous members are still on it

Martin to attend Best Western on September 25th. Subject is Immigration and Labour.

Agenda Item: Town of Lunenburg Advisory/ RV show

TOL is looking for 3 people to sit on committees. Committees are Planning, Heritage and Audit. Kandace will apply to sit on Planning and Heritage.

Kandace is looking for permission to attend RV show in Halifax Exhibition Park on January 18-21st 2024.

The price will be $1500. We need to know how and if we benefit from this. Kandace will be promoting our campground and things to do in Lunenburg.

Kandace has decided not to do Fall Saltscapes.

Conclusion: Martin wants Kandace to do more research to see if it’s worthwhile to attend RV show and create a budget. Put it in an email and circulate so we can decide.
