Minutes of Lunenburg Board of Trade Council meeting

5:15pm; March 23, 2021; at the LBoT Boardroom

 

Present:           Susan Corkum Greek, Gale Fullerton, Jason Huskilson, Jamie Myra, Willie Wells. Staff: Administration Assistant; Renea Babineau, Campground Mgr; Kandace Forward

Call to Order:   5:24pm by Jamie Myra.                       

Approval of Agenda:   (JM) Adjournment set for 6:15pm.

Approval of Minutes from previous meeting:  (GF, WW)

New Business             

(JM); Lease agreement from Town of Lunenburg: 3 year lease for Lbot Campground. Town can opt out after 2 years.

(JM); Bluenose Launch Brunch: The original plan of an event in the big boat shed was shelved to deny the COVID19 virus an opportunity to spread. The venue will be Brunch at the Brigantine Inn at 10:30 for a limited number of attendees. LBoT will have representation there.

(Renea Babineau); Finalizing AGM Details: There will be recognition of our   Frontline Workers with Essential Services, Retail and Large Employers whose diligence with safety protocols has helped virus transmission numbers in our district low. Nomination suggestions to serve on the LBoT Council: From the Food Services sector; Martin. From the growing sector of Micro Breweries and Distilleries; a representative from Saltbox/Lightship.

(JM); COVID19 Recovery / Discussion session: SCG attended meeting in Mahone Bay.

(Kandace Forward, Renea Babineau); Spring Hours: No revenue until  Campground opens (May 14). If CEWS is set by comparison to 2019 numbers, then fulltime is OK. LBoT computers are expiring. Replacements are needed: a Desktop for Renea and a Laptop for Kandace.
